A New Day! Celebrate!

It’s a New Year! Celebrate!

It’s a New Day! Celebrate!

You have survived, and each day is a new beginning — A new life — A new celebration!

To survivors of TBI, survivors of all trauma, survivors of life — recognize that each day is a new step. This step will have challenges, trials, difficulties that lead to new solutions and personal discoveries that create a deeper understanding of who you want to be. The fact that you are alive means that the world is open to new events, even if the event is approaching what seems the same from a new perspective. It’s easy to become lost in any of the events of living — the repetition of a job, the monotony of a recovery, endless cycles of social babble — but by pushing yourself to look at an event in a new light you can discover something new about the process. It’s hearing the story you’ve been told a million times from a new perspective, and suddenly it’s interesting again. We mark this celebration as special, but in truth New Year’s Day is just a day. But it’s a New Day, and every day is a chance to open new doors. I encourage you to give it a try. Try something to see something in a new way today. And then try tomorrow. Lets look at the difficulties of the world from new perspectives and see what solutions appear to us.

That’ll be my first 2 cents of thoughts for this year. I look forward to sharing more as we see things together. Chat soon!
