About Lethan

In 1999, Lethan was involved in a serious automobile accident and received severe Traumatic Brain Injury, beginning years of personal and professional confusion.  In the Spring of 2004 Lethan found a direction when inspired to become a storyteller, and in 2007 began graduate studies in the Art of Storytelling at East Tennessee State University.  His graduate thesis performance, Who Am I Now?: a verbal collage of stories about Traumatic Brain Injury, began his inspirational work with the community of survivors, this has continued through published writings and speaking events.  See Selected Performances below.

In 2020 Lethan published Who Am I Now: using storytelling to accept and appreciate self-identity after Traumatic Brain Injury, a book of philosophical inspiration, and is now involved with research exploring the benefits of using storytelling as a tool in rehabilitation.  Lethan is available to speak at events using video conferencing software or in person with appropriate planning.
